In the heart of a valley of snow and ice, dominated by the Mont-Blanc, stands the holiday resort of Chamonix which is still as fascinating to the visitor as it was two centuries ago.

The skiing in Chamonix valley is spread over six separate areas which are linked by a regular and efficient bus service included in the Mont-Blanc lift pass. The largest of these ski areas is the Grands Montets in Argentière. Each area offers its own challenge to beginners and experts alike.
